Melaka executive councillor Ab Rauf Yusof says construction will take four to five years.

DUBAI: The Melaka state government is considering plans for an undersea railway tunnel across the Straits of Melaka to Dumai in Indonesia, chief minister Sulaiman Md Ali said here today.

“This is a long-term plan. The shortest distance between Melaka and Dumai is 47km,” he said at a press conference here for the launch of Melaka Week at Expo 2020 Dubai.
